Silvia was born in Austria, the country in which she also started her Equestrian Career. During a three year apprenticeship Silvia competed up to Advanced level dressage and 1.25 meter show jumping classes. On passing the Bereiter exam, Silvia decided to go to Germany to further her equestrian education.
There she worked amongst others for:
- Ralf Isselhorst ( international trainer; www.dressurtrainer.de )
- The late Dr. Reiner Klimke ( 8x Olympic medal winner and a legend in his lifetime; en.wikipedia.org/../Reiner_Klimke )
- Ingrid Klimke ( Olympic gold medal winner in three day eventing and dressage Grand Prix rider; www.klimke.org )
1995 – passed Pferdewirtschaftsmeister exam, the highest professional exam you can take in Germany. ( this is also recognised by the BHS where Silvia is registered as an instructor)
1996 – Silvia starts in the Isle of Man as a Trainer Manager for Ballaseyr Stables who sponsored such names as Heike and Eric Holstein (Irl), and Richard Davison (GB)
2001 – Silvia moved to Lancashire and based herself as an independent trainer at Arkenfield Equestrian Centre.
Since then Silvia has successfully competed several horses at Regional and National Championships every year and under instruction so did several of her clients.
Present – Silvia currently lives near Skipton in North Yorkshire where she operates from a small private yard. She teaches in Yorkshire and the North West.
